The World of Beatrix Potter
The World of Beatrix Potter sits right in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere. The attraction doesn’t have its own parking but there is a pay & display car park nearby on Rayrigg Road as well as a number of others in the area.
If you want to get here by public transport you can get a connecting train from Oxenholme Station to Windermere and get a local bus connection to Bowness. Windermere Lake Cruises also operate a ferry service to get you around the lake.

There is no parking at the World of Beatrix Potter, but there are a number of pay & display car parks a short walk from the attraction.
Are toilets available?
There are toilets on site but they are only available for visitors to the whole attraction.
Can I take my Dog?
Unfortunately the World of Beatrix Potter does not allow dogs but those who require a service dog may bring theirs.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
The World of Beatrix Potter is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is a second entrance to the building that doesn’t have any stairs. As the attraction is situated on a hill it is a little steep.

The World of Beatrix Potter is fully accessible to pushchairs via the second entrance that has no stairs.
