Our Dog Friendly Rooms
At Craig Manor, we offer a range of cosy hotel rooms just 10 minutes away from Lake Windermere. With this stunning scenery right on your doorstep, why not enjoy it with your four-legged friend? After all, who loves walking more than your dog?
We understand that dogs are a large part of the family, which is why we are proud to welcome well-behaved pooches to our dog friendly country house hotel in Bowness on Windermere.

We’re delighted to be one of the few dog friendly hotels in the Lake District offering a number of dog friendly rooms so that you can enjoy an unforgettable short break in the lake district together rather than leaving them behind in a kennel.

Visiting With Dogs? Read Our Guidelines
To ensure all of our guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following guidelines when joining us at our dog friendly hotel in the Lake District:
- Please let us know, at the time of booking, if you will be bringing your dog with you.
- We kindly ask that dogs are not left unattended for long periods of time in hotel bedrooms.
- While on the premises, we ask that dogs are accompanied at all times, and kept on a lead in the hotel reception area and grounds.
- We regret that dogs are not allowed in our restaurant, but clean, well-behaved dogs are welcome in our lounge and bar areas. We’ve put together a helpful guide on dog friendly restaurants available in the local area.
- Finally, please note that the dog owner is responsible for any charges incurred following the unfortunate circumstance of any damage sustained or industrial cleaning requirements.
